The Cleveland Cavaliers took down the Brooklyn Nets in their first game of the season on Wednesday night.
New recruit Max Strus was all over Cleveland’s 114-113 victory.
Strus scored 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 assists, shooting 7-of-13 from the three-point line during his first game with the Cavaliers.
A video shared by 7rsterling on Twitter, via NBACentral, showed the biggest moments from Strus’ performance.

Fans of the team came out to celebrate Strus, who came over from the Miami Heat during the long offseason.
“for real, he was hooping. Great find and fit for the Cavs,” one fan said.

Others were elated to see that Strus, who has been in the league since 2019, is finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Other people used Strus’ big night as an opportunity to dunk on Gabe Vincent, another former Heat player who parted ways with the team in the summer.
He moved over to the Los Angeles Lakers and produced 6 points, 1 rebound, and 2 assists during his first game with that team.
“Lakers fans thought Gabe Vincent was Max Strus,” one Twitter user joked.

And some Miami fans were feeling nothing but bittersweet heartache after seeing Strus play so well for his new team.
They fondly remember when he was having nights like that for their team just a few months ago.
Happy he’s getting recognition but sucks it’s coming after he leaves the team that made him. He was doing the same with us and never seen a Strus post 💀

This is exactly what the Cavaliers were hoping for when they signed Strus.
With his energy, efficiency, and ability to pass and score all over the court, he might be the missing piece the team needs.
He has impressed for his first game, but can Strus keep it up for 81 more?
