After having to deal with multiple injuries and trade rumors over the last few years, Cleveland Cavaliers big man Kevin Love had a very productive season this year.
He dramatically improved his offensive efficiency, especially from the 3-point area, and he even came close to winning the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award.
Off the court, Love has been enjoying a nice offseason, as he has found love (no pun intended) in his new wife, Canadian model Kate Bock.
The two had been dating for several years and finally got engaged in January 2021.
This past weekend, the two got married at a lavish ceremony in New York City.
Several of Love’s former Cavs teammates were there for the occasion, including LeBron James and Richard Jefferson, as well as one of Love’s teammates in college, Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook.

Adele, the critically-acclaimed singer who has won a truckload of Grammy awards, was also on hand for Love’s wedding.
Across social media, Cavs fans seemed happy for him, but some couldn’t help but point out one of his championship Cavs teammates who was conspicuously absent.
Ok, I'll point out the elephant. The wedding took place in NYC. Who is missing from that Cavs reunion photo?😁

Love Had A Mini-renaissance This Season
Back in the day, Love was a rebounding machine for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and he was always a threat to put up a 20-point, 20-rebound game.
When he was traded to the Cavs in 2014, he got the opportunity to play for a world championship, and he helped the team go all the way in 2016, averaging 16.0 points and 9.9 rebounds a game during the regular season.
Love made the All-Star team the following two seasons as the Cavs reached the NBA Finals both years, but once James left in 2018, things went south for the 6-foot-8 big man.
He struggled with injuries over the next three seasons, and he seemed to be a bad fit for a Cavs team that was rebuilding.
His big contract was seen as a problem, and he was often the subject of trade rumors.
Love has also come clean about his struggles with mental health issues during that time, and he has used his experience to urge other men to seek help if they are facing a true mental health challenge.
But this year, Love had his best season in a while.
Coming off the bench for the first time since his first two pro seasons, he shot 39.2 percent from 3-point range, his highest accuracy from that distance since 2018, and he was a key reason why Cleveland came extremely close to making the playoffs.
A Glimpse Of The Future?
Moving forward, the Cavs have a bright future, but they need a few more pieces.
James has been in New York City for several days, and he was spotted in a gym there getting up shots with Love during a workout.
James’ contract with the Lakers expires next summer, and there have been whispers that we may return to Cleveland should he turn down an extension with them.
Is it possible that the four-time MVP was discussing a possible reunion with Love in recent days?
