Every year, there are a few teams in the NBA that exceed expectations with their performance.
On the other hand, there are a couple of teams who fail to play at the expected level, and the Cleveland Cavaliers fall in the latter category this season.
There are only four games played in the 2023-24 season, but the Cavs have struggled to win games.
At the time of writing, the Cavaliers are 1-3, which is the tied-worst record in the NBA right now.
Following their most recent defeat against the New York Knicks, Cavs fans had various reactions to their team falling further below the .500 mark below a tweet by Cavaliers Nation on Twitter.

Pretty good considering the amount of starters that have been injured, also no one should care about October basketball.

We are going to be 1-4 after tomorrow and likely last in the East.

Bad start to many injuries early in the season! Bad coaching blew a 10 point lead with under 2 minutes to play should never lose a game like that!! Especially against a team like OKLAHOMA.

I love JB but he needs to find ways to score, I think we need to slow the offense down, give the ball to Mobley high post more get Donovan to the free throw line

While a few fans understood the negative impact of injuries to starters such as Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland, others were not so kind.
Many fans even urged the Cavaliers organization to simply fire head coach J.B. Bickerstaff over allowing him time to get the team back in order.
Sure, starting a season 1-3 is never easy for a fanbase to handle, but there are still 78 games left to be played during the regular season.
When the Cavaliers get back at their full strength, they can make fans forget their poor start to the season.
After all, the Cavaliers were the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference last season, and when they get their two stars back they may reach similar heights this season.
But can the team surpass their achievements from the last season? That remains probably the biggest question of the season.
