It is becoming clear that the Cleveland Cavaliers still have a long way to go before they can be considered true championship contenders.
On Monday, they visited the San Antonio Spurs, a team that had a dismal 8-18 record coming in.
Cleveland fell behind by double-digits in the second quarter and trailed by as many as 19, and although it made a nice run down the stretch to make things very competitive, it ultimately fell short, 112-111.
Cavs fans are understandably unhappy with what transpired.
This fan seems to think they didn’t take this contest seriously enough.
the cleveland cavaliers are a joke
idc if it's some sleepy monday game
at full strength and getting embarrassed by one of the worst teams in the nba
these are the games where teams like the cavs forget and then are shocked when they're seeded so poorly in the playoffs
boo!

Darius Garland Continues To Struggle
Last season, Darius Garland broke out and made the All-Star team, and Cavs fans were excited and optimistic about his future and potential.
But so far this season, it looks like he has regressed.
His shooting efficiency has been up and down, as he has been unable to maintain any type of consistency in that department.
On Monday, he went 7-of-22 from the field and 1-of-6 from 3-point range, and he missed what would’ve been the game-winning 3-pointer with just a few seconds remaining.
Cavs fans are starting to grow frustrated with him.
Darius Garland is officially a problem for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
1. Not clutch
2. Sloppy
3. 1 man Turn over factory
4. Can't dribble
5. Bad passerNot sure how coach teaches this kid some discipline and control. He can shoot some that's about it #LetEmKnow

On a positive note, Donovan Mitchell returned after a two-game absence and played well, going 12-of-24 from the field and scoring 28 points.
Unfortunately, he had his own game-winning attempt blocked by Keldon Johnson in the closing seconds.

After visiting the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, the Cavs will come home for a six-game homestand, and given their stellar record at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, it will be an excellent opportunity for them to build some momentum.
