The Clutch Player of the Year award is a new one, and it highlights the star who can do the most in the final moments of the fourth quarter or overtime.
Friday night wasn’t the first time Garland busted out in the last quarter of a game.
Again and again throughout his career, he has shown that his team can rely on him and he can get them across the finish line.
For the season, Garland is averaging 20.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 6.7 assists on 47.2 percent from the field and 40.1 percent from the three-point line.
He has had a great, All-Star season, and it’s no surprise that his team has done so well this year.
They are a well-rounded squad with multiple stars who are capable of great things.
Garland is a star throughout the entire game, but he really does take things up a notch when the fourth quarter rolls around.
The Cavaliers have one more game this season, playing the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.
Then it’s time for the playoffs and more chances for Garland to show what he can do.
