The Cleveland Cavaliers are off to a rocky start for the 2023-24 NBA season, as they have begun the season with a 1-2 record.
After barely sneaking in a victory against the Brooklyn Nets in their season, the Cavaliers have lost back-to-back games in the regular season.
The Cavaliers most recently battled against their fellow Eastern Conference franchise, the Indiana Pacers.
Considering the Cavs lost 113-125, it wasn’t even a close game for the fans.
However, the only silver lining from the loss was Evan Mobley’s incredible performance.

Mobley contributed 33 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks while shooting an incredible 54% from the field and a perfect 100% from downtown.
So far, this season, Mobley is averaging 19.0 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game for the Cavaliers.
As we mentioned earlier, Mobley has been one of the only few good things about the Cavaliers early in the 2023-24 season.
Hopefully, Mobley’s good performances can motivate the rest of the team to play well and ultimately clinch a high seed in the Eastern Conference.
Mobley is on track to take the next step in his career after having an impressive sophomore year in the league.
Last season, he averaged 16.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game for the team.
Mobley’s numbers were a crucial reason behind the Cavaliers’ 51-31 record last season as they clinched the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Can the Cavs repeat the same level of success in the 2023-24 season? Only time will tell the fate of the Cavaliers.
