Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers was one of the most exciting rookies of last season.
He averaged 15 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists during his first year in the league.
And beyond his point totals, Mobley was just a blast to watch and already has some serious basketball skills and IQ.
He’s already something truly special but will only become more so.
Especially if he keeps practicing as he has been this summer.

Mobley was spotted alongside Kevin Durant, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Mike James during coach Olin Simplis’ Friday Run last week.
The training session, which was held in Los Angeles, had Mobley going toe-to-toe against some of the best guys in the league and showed that not only is he getting better, he’s committed to pushing himself even more.
Mobley’s Rise
Mobley was drafted by the Cavs last year and many people imagined he would become the leader of the team.
Indeed, he is a vital part of this Cavaliers lineup.
But he’s not alone, as there are multiple great, young stars on the rise in Cleveland.
However, the thing that is so special about Mobley is that his size is matched by his skill and his versatility.
He’s a seven-foot big man who is also able to shoot.
Watching him practice alongside Durant and others, it is clear that Mobley is really focusing on his deep twos and threes.
His three-point percentage last season was just 25% but his two-point shot hit 54%.
He obviously has a plan to keep improving his game from the field so he is more than just a tall, talented rebounder but also a shot-maker.
Some people are taking it easy this summer.
Mobley is instead playing basketball with some of the most talented players in the league.
