The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors on Friday night and it wasn’t even close.
Even though he didn’t like losing to them, Draymond Green of the Warriors paid the Cavaliers a compliment following the game.
Noting that this season’s Cavaliers look a lot like the 2015-16 Warriors, Green told Jason Lloyd “I feel like they just beat us with what we’ve beaten teams with for years.”
The Cavs have the best start to a season since the Warriors began 24-0 and Draymond Green paid them the highest possible compliment.

Yes, the Cavs are here.

The Cavaliers are now 10-0, which is one of the best starts in NBA history.
Yet, it’s not as good as the Warriors’ launch of the 2015-16 season, when they won a whopping 24 games in a row.
That was the year they went on to claim a historic record of 73-9.
As all Cavaliers fans will note, however, they ultimately lost to the Cavaliers in the Finals after a 3-1 start.
There are indeed similarities between this season’s Cavaliers and the Warriors from 2015-16.
Their shooting and defense are incredibly strong and they are playing a high-tempo form of basketball with a head coach who has figured out how to use all his players correctly.
But beyond that, this team is playing with enthusiasm and joy.
They are happy to be there and that’s obvious to everyone watching.
Much like the Warriors from yesteryear, the Cavaliers know they have something special and they are savoring it.
The 2015-16 Warriors pushed far into the playoffs and nearly won a title – is that the path the Cavaliers are headed down?
Their 10-0 start is amazing and comparable to what the Warriors did several years ago, but they still have a long way to go.
