The Cleveland Cavaliers got their revenge on the Atlanta Hawks Thursday night, beating them 137-115 at home.
Darius Garland was a huge help for the Cavs and earned 26 points and seven assists.
After the game, Donovan Mitchell spoke with Serena Winters and heaped tons of praise on Garland and all he is capable of.
After saying Garland is “where he belongs” Mitchell spoke directly to the critics.
“Y’all made a huge mistake writing him off and look what he’s doing this year,” Mitchell said.
He added, “Shut the hell up and watch the rest of the season.”

It feels hard to believe but there were definitely people speaking out against Garland last season.
It wasn’t that he was bad, but some people didn’t feel he fit into the Cavaliers’ roster and their long-term plans.
They felt it would have been wise for the front office to break up the duo of Garland and Mitchell and there were even some calls from fans to do that.
In the end, the Cavaliers decided to keep the team they had because they believed they were capable of more.
Sure enough, they are having a much better season this year.
Garland is enjoying a stellar season, averaging 21.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 6.8 assists on 50.1 percent from the field and 42.4 percent from the three-point line.
His relationship with Mitchell has only gotten better and they seem to be closer than ever.
They are helping and praising each other at every chance they get.
For a brief time, it felt like the partnership of Mitchell and Garland might come to an end, but those days are behind us and the Cavaliers love that they’re playing together.
