The Cleveland Cavaliers are the only NBA team that Darius Garland has ever known.
The guard was drafted by them back in the 2019 draft after growing up in Indiana and attending Vanderbilt for school.
Since joining the Cavs, Garland has grown into a focal part of the team and its future.
And he is becoming more and more loyal, not only to the team but to the city as a whole.

Garland spoke about his love for Cleveland on the Varisty House Podcast.
He said that it was all “love” between him and the city from the moment he was drafted, regardless of how the team was performing.
Garland added that the love he has experienced since day one is now being felt and seen on a “bigger level” and you can totally see what he is talking about.
The Land is finally proud to support its NBA team again.
Garland In Cleveland
Garland is putting up 21.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 8.6 assists a game lately and those are some impressive and All-Star-worthy numbers.
Therefore, it’s not shocking that the young athlete was just selected for his very first All-Star Game.
But his eyes are on more than just that prize: he wants to help take the Cavs deep into the postseason.
It seemed like he’d reach that goal last season but a slew of injuries and bad luck sidelined the team towards the end of the year and they missed the playoffs.
Meanwhile, the city has been getting more and more into the Cavaliers as the young squad has formulated and become stronger.
Through great draft picks and true organic growth, the Cavaliers are giving Ohio something to love.
