We have all been wondering what the future holds for Collin Sexton and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
For weeks now, rumors have swirled about Sexton possibly re-signing with the Cavs or maybe finding a new team to call home.
It was recently reported that the team was going to offer him a multi-year deal but it was for an amount that he and his management didn’t feel was worthy of his skills.

Now there is talk that he could be leaving Cleveland behind for a team that could give him what he desires.
Apparently, Pat Riley and the Miami Heat could emerge as a possible landing spot for Sexton in the weeks ahead.
Sexton would bring a lot of talent to the Heat but does he really fit in with the roster they have built?

The Heat have been pretty quiet during this offseason, supposedly because they are waiting to see what happens with Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets.
It would be a bit surprising to see them make a move on Sexton.
This would be something of a shock because they already have a pretty loaded roster and their guard duties are well taken care of.
This would relegate Sexton to being a bench player, something you can’t imagine he’d be comfortable with.
However, he might find the same fate in Cleveland next season too, so perhaps he’d rather do it with the Heat than the Cavaliers.
If Riley and the Heat truly are intrigued by Sexton, they will likely need to trade for him so he can get the sort of salary and contract that he wants.
It remains to be seen how much they are willing to spend to land this up-and-coming guard.
