Anyone who has been paying attention to the Cleveland Cavaliers for the last few seasons knows one thing: the team is really fun to root for.

It is true that they may not be ready to make the NBA Finals just yet but they are certainly on their way.

And, in the meantime, they have one of the most fun, thrilling youthful squads in the league.

That core is eager to impress and do their best, and it reminds fans of another Cleveland team.

The Guardians and Cavs are so similar right now. Both teams have super-talented young cores, rosters with good guys who are easy to cheer for, and both in the early stages of building championship-caliber teams. Really exciting time to be a fan!#ForTheLand #LetEmKnow pic.twitter.com/LBKFLPF5Xs

“The Guardians and Cavs so similar right now” said 1st Place Guardians on Twitter.

They continued: “Both teams have super-talented young cores, rosters with good guys who are easy to cheer for, and both in the early stages of building championship-caliber teams.”

“Really exciting time to be a fan!” they concluded.

There is a good point here: both teams are similar in many ways.

But are the Cavaliers really that far away from being championship-caliber?

Cleveland Climbing

The Cavaliers were having one heck of a season until a slew of injuries really derailed their postseason plans and caused them to sit it out.

If it weren’t for those mishaps, who knows how far they could have gotten in the playoffs?

They may not be completely prepared for a championship just yet but they also might be a fair deal closer than some people think.

This upcoming season will be a great test for the Cavaliers: if they remain healthy and driven, the sky might be the limit for them.

Of all the young teams in the league, the Cavs might be the most promising and that is saying quite a lot.
