The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off their biggest win of the season.
They rallied from a 22-point deficit to storm back and even the season series vs. the defending champions.
Notably, Donovan Mitchell was instrumental in the win, torching the Boston Celtics for 41 points on 13 of 26 shooting.
Mitchell added three rebounds, five assists, one steal, and five three-pointers in 35 minutes.
That’s why it only makes some sense that coach Kenny Atkinson will give his star combo guard some much-needed rest.
According to a report by Evan Dammarell, Mitchell won’t suit up to play vs. the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.

The Cavs shouldn’t find much trouble getting past the rebuilding Blazers.
Darius Garland looked more than healthy in his return after a brief absence with a hip contusion, and Ty Jerome has done an outstanding job every single time he’s been asked to fill in for any starter.
Mitchell has been the team’s primary scorer this season, but unlike what happened in the past, the team hasn’t needed him to bail them out over and over.
Kenny Atkinson has done great at managing the players’ loads and minutes, prioritizing health and rest over anything else.
More than that, the free-flowing offense has the ball constantly finding the open man, and as such, everybody’s gotten into a rhythm and has been able to step up on any given night.
The Cavs are a lock to make the playoffs, and at this point in the season, nothing will be more important than staying healthy.
