The Cleveland Cavaliers are doing incredibly well this season and now their historic and beloved home is getting a brand new name.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Rocket Mortage FieldHouse is undergoing a rebrand and will now be known simply as Rocket Arena.
To celebrate the occasion, Rocket Arena released a video that features fans talking about what the stadium means to them and the many memories they have made there.
“Welcome to Rocket Arena, a new chapter in our building’s storied 30 year history,” the company wrote on X.

This change comes after a decision by Rocket, the mortgage and personal finance company.
They are simplifying their name and, therefore, the arena is also going to look different.
Created back in 1985 by Dan Gilbert, Rocket has remained close to Cleveland over the years and its name is now synonymous with the Cavaliers.
Rocket is very excited about this rebrand but it won’t provide much of a change for the fans of the Cavaliers.
They have been promised that they will still get first-rate entertainment during the NBA season and that Rocket Arena will cater to their needs for years to come.
The location opened as Gund Arena in 1994 and has undergone a few name changes.
It went from Gund to Quicken Loans Arena in 2005 and then Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in 2019.
How long will it be Rocket Arena before another name comes along?
Cavaliers fans will be part of upcoming activities that celebrate the name change and the company will attempt to get all of Cleveland involved in this rebranding.
