The Cleveland Cavaliers experienced a rude awakening at the end of last season.
After a very promising and exciting regular season, the Cavaliers weren’t able to get past the opening round of the playoffs because of the New York Knicks.
Their loss to New York hurt the Cavaliers, according to player Isaac Okoro.
Speaking to Stefan Bondy of The New York Post, Okoro said that “[losing to the Knicks] stuck with me for a pretty long time…It took me a minute to get over it.”
Just how long did that “minute” last?
“‘Till they were kicked out of the playoffs,” Okoro said.
Cavs eyeing revenge on the Knicks after playoff loss stung for while.
How long did it take Isaac Okoro?
“Till (the Knicks) were kicked out of the playoffs.”

2022-23 consisted of the Cavaliers acquiring a strong 51-31 record.
This led to them being the fourth-best team in the East, and they looked better than they had in years.
But the postseason was a whole different story, and the Cavaliers couldn’t keep up with the New York Knicks.
They were eliminated after just five games.
Now, Okoro and other players on the Cavaliers roster are looking to get revenge, not just against the Knicks, but the rest of the league too.
Since their playoff defeat, the rest of the Eastern Conference has gotten considerably tougher.
The Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics have added new talent, while the Atlanta Hawks, Knicks, and others have enhanced their rosters too.
Cleveland now has a 1-2 record, losing to both the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
This is not how a revenge season usually looks, but there is still plenty of time for the team to get its act together and reassert its dominance.
