Cleveland Cavaliers fans were somewhat skeptical about the team’s hot start to the season, wondering if they would be able to sustain that intensity throughout the rest of the season.
Their 15-0 run to begin the year was an impressive feat, one of the best starting records in league history.
Fans thought back to the prime days of LeBron James, wondering if this team could achieve similar feats down the stretch.
Thankfully, the Cavaliers haven’t slowed down since they went on their historic run, and now hold a 26-4 record, the best in the Eastern Conference.
This iteration of the Cavaliers is a lot different than the past few years and is also different than the teams James was on.
As Cavs Notes pointed out on X, the Cavaliers made over 20 three-pointers in their latest win over the Utah Jazz, their third-straight game achieving 30 makes from beyond the arc.
This made franchise history, as they had never had a three-game stretch with at least 20 made three-pointers in each game.
The @cavs just hit their 20th three-pointer tonight and have now made 20+ threes in 3 consecutive games for the FIRST TIME IN FRANCHISE HISTORY.#LetEmKnow

They might be unconventional by their organizational standards, but the Cavaliers are for real.
Night after night, this team showcases that they deserve to be talked about as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, a true contender when it comes down to it.
There’s still a lot of season left, and anything can happen in that time-frame, but if the Cavaliers stay healthy, it’s hard to imagine a scenario in which they don’t make a deep run in the playoffs.
