Every team in the NBA has a few players on the roster who contribute to the game in more ways than simply scoring.
While most fans pay attention to the careers of players whose numbers pop out on the box score, the other set also deserves praise.
A perfect example of this will be the roster construction of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
There are a couple of stars on the team, like Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen, and Darius Garland, who handle most of the scoring for the team in games.
But someone like Isaac Okoro contributes to the game even without putting up big numbers.
This was confirmed when Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff heaped huge praise on Okoro via Chris Fedor on Twitter.
“If you don’t love the game or study it, you can miss his value. But if you know basketball and understand what it takes to make a winning team, you know how valuable he is,” Bickerstaff said.

Bickerstaff pointed out that someone who doesn’t love the game of basketball will undoubtedly fail to realize Okoro’s value to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He further added that everyone on the Cavaliers roster believes that the team is always in an advantageous situation whenever Okoro is on the ball.
Okoro has played in 34 games this season and averaged 8.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game for the Cavaliers.
Considering he is averaging 26.2 minutes per game for the team, Okoro has put up excellent numbers for the team.
Moreover, Okoro is just 23 years old right now and has his entire career ahead of him.
Keeping that in mind, if the Cavaliers need him to play a different role in the future, he can most likely fulfill that as well.
