The Cleveland Cavaliers cannot seem to catch a break with injuries to their key players during the 2023-24 NBA season.
Previously, Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland missed a lot of games, which led to the Cavaliers’ awful start to the season.
With the two key players back, Isaac Okoro and Donovan Mitchell have been sidelined for the past few games.
Considering the Cavaliers are all set to play against the Los Angeles Lakers in their next matchup, the organization will hope to be at its full strength.
Keeping that in mind, Cavs head coach J.B. Bickerstaff provided an update on Okoro and Mitchell ahead of the Lakers game via Evan Dammarell on Twitter.
#Cavs head coach J.B. Bickerstaff said that Isaac Okoro and Donovan Mitchell were able to practice today.
When it comes to either playing tomorrow against the Lakers, Bickerstaff said it depends on how they’re feeling tomorrow.

Bickerstaff revealed that both players participated in the Cavaliers’ practice today.
It’s certainly good news for the Cavaliers fanbase, as it means Okoro and Mitchell are close to making a comeback.
But as far as playing against the Lakers is concerned, Bickerstaff believes only time will tell.
It ultimately depends on how they feel tomorrow ahead of the crucial game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Cavaliers are currently 8-7 as they hold the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Considering the Cavaliers have a 6-4 record in the last 10 games, the organization is seemingly on the verge of making a comeback, and Donovan Mitchell’s return could make that dream turn into a reality.
After all, before getting injured, Mitchell was averaging 29.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Can he pick things up from right where he left them? Only time will tell.
