The Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t have the game they wanted on Monday night but Darius Garland had a good night.
According to Cavs Notes, Garland became part of Cavaliers history during the loss to the Orlando Magic.
With his final basket of the night, Garland totaled 5,001 points for his career, which is a huge NBA milestone and makes Garland just the 19th Cavaliers player to reach that mark.
Additionally, he is one of just four players in team history with 5,000+ points, 500+ three-pointers made, and 1,500+ assists.
He has now joined a very exclusive club featuring just him, LeBron James, Mark Price, and Kyrie Irving.
Garland is the 19th @cavs player to reach that mark.
He is 1 of 4 players in team history with 5,000+ PTS, 500+ 3FGM and 1,500+ AST (LeBron James, Mark Price & Kyrie Irving).

On Monday night, Garland posted 36 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, making 3 of his 9 three-point attempts.
So far this season, he is putting up 20.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 6 assists per game, averaging 47.3% from the floor and 32.6% from the three-point line.
Now in his fifth season with the Cavaliers, many fans want to see Garland play in Cleveland for the rest of his career.
He is one of the most energetic and electric guards in the league and could be the face of the franchise for years to come.
Garland is having a powerful season right now and is still working well alongside Donovan Mitchell, although the team isn’t doing as well as they had hoped.
With his performance on Monday, Garland earned a spot in the Cavaliers history books and it likely won’t be the last milestone that he reaches with the team.
On Tuesday night, Garland will try to put on a scoring clinic against the Boston Celtics and get another coveted road win.
