Even after the Jazz traded away their other huge asset, Rudy Gobert, they stuck to the story that Mitchell was remaining in Utah.
Well, that might have been a bit of a fib.
After previously shutting down inquiries on moving All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell, rival teams say the Utah Jazz are showing a willingness to listen on possible trade scenarios, sources tell ESPN.

Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Jazz are now showing “a willingness to listen” on possible trade packages for Mitchell.
Obviously, this is a huge contradiction to what the team said in the past.
The news has already got fans all over the league trying to convince their teams to land Mitchell.
That includes quite a few Cavaliers fans.
Mitchell On The Move
Right after the news of a possible trade was announced, people hopped online to show why their team was the one that should get Mitchell.
Jazz receive: Lauri Markkanen, Isaac Okoro, Collin Sexton, 2025 First Round Pick, 2027 First Round Pick
Cavaliers receive: Donovan Mitchell

Theoretical trades were put together, including one that sent the Jazz a few Cavs players including Collin Sexton in order to land Mitchell.
But even people who aren’t devoted diehards for the Cavs also feel that Mitchell would make sense there.
Probably the place that makes the most sense for donovan Mitchell is somewhere like Orlando or Cleveland. Bunch of young talent

One Twitter user pointed out how the young talent on the Cleveland roster is ideal for Mitchell.
He would be able to take the team to the next level with his experience and expertise and remarkable skill.
He really could be the missing piece the Cavs have been looking for.
Donovan Mitchell is the only player I’ll be okay with Cleveland giving up assets to go after. As long as it’s not garland, Mobley or Allen https://t.co/YF7kXEoDDf

Other Cavs fans admit that Mitchell is one of the few players in the league that would be worth giving up big stars.
