The Cleveland Cavaliers keep making history.
They had a 15-game winning streak to start the season, being one of a select few teams in league history to achieve this feat, and they also had a 16-game streak later in the year.
Despite not being a title favorite heading into the season, the Cavaliers have continued to dominate their opponents and become one of the most exciting teams in the league.
They added to history in Wednesday night’s win over the New York Knicks, as Cavs Notes highlighted on X.
The Cavaliers’ bench is now the best three-point shooting team in history, as they have made 503 already, which is two more than what Oklahoma City’s bench did last year.
The @cavs bench made 4 threes in the opening half and now have a total of 503 triples this season. That is the most threes made by a bench in a single season in @NBA history.
503 – CLE this season***
501 – OKC in 2023-24
491 – OKC in 2022-23
482- MIL in 2022-23#LetEmKnow— Cavs Notes (@CavsNotes) April 3, 2025
Cleveland has been lauded for their depth all year, and this record is another example of how dominant this team has been, top to bottom.
Whether it’s their star athletes or their bench players, being so well-rounded has helped the Cavaliers get to this point.
This puts them in a strong position heading into the postseason, as having this deep bench has allowed their starters to stay healthy, knowing that they can come out of games and know they’re in good hands.
It will be interesting to see how the Cavaliers utilize their deep bench in the playoffs, and if they’ll be as effective and efficient as they were during the regular season.
This team has a lot of potential moving forward, giving the fans cautious optimism that they can make a deep run.
