It’s been a rough season for the Cleveland Cavaliers, as they have suffered a ton of injuries to major players and some rough losses, as well as a very competitive Eastern Conference.
Just a few weeks ago, many people wrote the Cavaliers off when both Evan Mobley and Darius Garland were injured.
However, the team is sticking around, playing hard, and is still very close to sitting toward the top of the East.
As noted by Carter Rodriguez, the Cavaliers are just two games out of the three seed.
They currently have a 21-15 record, while the third-place Philadelphia 76ers hold a 23-13 record.
Cavs are just 2 games out of the 3 seed, for those keeping track.

This shows that the Cavaliers are still very much in play for a strong push into the playoffs.
Of course, a lot can change between now and the beginning of the postseason but the team is staying surprisingly strong despite so many adversities.
Not many people thought it was possible but the Cavaliers have overperformed and impressed even the most critical fans.
The Cavaliers have just won three games in a row, against the Washington Wizards twice and the San Antonio Spurs.
Those were relatively easy teams to beat, although the Spurs made it surprisingly tight.
Those were crucial wins because they helped bolster the team’s record and keep them close to the 76ers in the standings.
Next up for the Cavaliers will be the Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, and Atlanta Hawks.
Right now, Cavaliers fans are keeping a close eye on their team but they are also paying attention to other teams in the conference.
