The Cleveland Cavaliers are attempting to figure out what their lineup will look like in the 2022-23 NBA season.
They haven’t made too many changes in the offseason but the changes they did make are monumental.
The addition of Donovan Mitchell and the subtraction of Collin Sexton are big and it means that the way the squad plays could be radically altered.
“One NBA source suggested there are times when the Cavs can play Mobley at small forward…The Cavs could put Kevin Love at power forward and Jarrett Allen at center.”

Some insiders think they should focus on the big guys of the squad moving forward.
Terry Pluto’s reporting said, “One NBA source suggested there are times when the Cavs can play Mobley at small forward. The Cavs could put Kevin Love at power forward and Jarrett Allen at center.”
That would certainly bring a lot of height and power to the team.
Plus that frontcourt would be working with the new backcourt that is making the rest of the East jealous.
Could this lineup work?
The Big Cavs
The starting five of the Cavs in this scenario would be Darius Garland as point guard, Mitchell as shooting guard, Mobley as small forward, Love as power forward, then Allen as center.
That’s quite the team and it would strike fear into the hearts of others.
It could work out very well for the Cavaliers but it would possibly take some time to get used to it.
The team got into a great groove last year for the majority of the season and they might be more comfortable playing the way they did.
But it’s time for the team to evolve and move forward and tweak the way they work if they wish to push deep into the postseason.
Fans of the team knew that the Cavaliers were going to change things up a bit in the new year.
It’s time for Cleveland to get bigger in more ways than one.
