We don’t know the official schedule for the upcoming NBA season but the Cleveland Cavaliers are still trying to get fans excited and ready for what’s ahead.
The NBA should be releasing the full schedule for next season very soon, meaning we will know who plays on opening night, Christmas Day, and more.
But just because that schedule hasn’t been leaked yet doesn’t mean that teams can’t entice their fanbase with other dates.

For example, the Cavaliers are advertising their preseason games that start on October 5.
Their first two games will be against the Philadelphia 76ers before facing off against the Atlanta Hawks and then the Orlando Magic.
Preseason games don’t truly matter in the long run but it’ll be the first chance for fans to see their team after months away and it could possibly reveal how the roster is going to work in the months ahead.
Preseason Buzz
What is the point of a preseason game?
Essentially, it is a way for the coaching staff to work on lineups, tweak the roster, and let players shake the rust off themselves after their long summer break.
In some ways, they matter a lot because it lets athletes get back into the groove of the game.
But in most ways, they don’t really matter too much because the victories and losses don’t count in the regular season.
For the diehard fan, preseason gamesย doย matter because they can get a taste of how the team might play together and which direction the coaching staff may take things.
They’re not nearly as important as the regular season but preseason games are a good way to get excited for what comes after them.
