It’s hard to improve the best team in the NBA.
Then again, even good things can get better.
That’s why the Cleveland Cavaliers made sure to address their only need on the roster while also getting under the luxury tax apron.
With that in mind, sports commentator Bruce Drennan praised the Cavaliers for getting De’Andre Hunter.
In the latest edition of his show, he called the trade a ‘big move,’ adding that he is just what the doctor ordered for this team.

Just like Drennan pointed out, Hunter is a big guy who can shoot from the perimeter and play some defense.
The Cavs desperately needed someone who could hold his own and stay in front of bigger, faster, and more athletic players on the wing.
Dean Wade had been their best wing-stopper, but even if he weren’t hurt, the team still needed someone else to help him with that task.
Hunter is a high-IQ player who can guard multiple positions on the court.
He can switch onto bigger and smaller players alike, and his combination of size, quick release, and a high-arc shot give him the ability to pull up and shoot over almost any defender in the game.
Of course, he’s not going to take many shots away from the core four, but he’s already proven to be a solid plug-and-play kind of guy by starting in his first game with the organization.
The Cavs didn’t add a superstar, but they may have found the missing piece to get to the next level.
