We’ve officially reached the final stretch of the NBA season.
The All-Star Game is over, and while several teams have chances of making the playoffs, it’s clear that some are way ahead of the rest of the pack right now.
Of course, that includes the Cleveland Cavaliers.
They’re tied for the best record in the entire league and have a somewhat sizeable lead in the Eastern Conference as well.
That’s why ESPN insider Brian Windhorst tried to plan ahead of time.
In a recent appearance on ESPN Cleveland, Windhorst revealed that he has already made some reservations in Cleveland for the NBA Finals.
Windhorst revealed that he booked his hotel rooms in cities that could potentially host NBA Finals games, and he loves what he’s seeing from Kenny Atkinson’s team.
He actually made those reservations early in January, so it’s been a while that he’s been all aboard the Cavaliers’ train.
Needless to say, Windhorst might be a little biased because of his ties to the city, but that doesn’t mean he’s not being objective with this particular decision.
The Cavs have been the best team in basketball all year long, so there’s no reason to believe they’re not NBA Finals material.
This team has rarely lost consecutive games or against the same opponents.
Also, adding a 3-and-D athletic freak like De’Andre Hunter addressed the only issue they had.
Barring injuries or a shocking turn of events, this team will be a legitimate NBA championship contender until the end of the season.
