The NBA trade deadline is just a few weeks away and everyone is paying close attention to all teams in hopes of anticipating their moves.
Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report released the latest Power Rankings and the Cleveland Cavaliers were close to the top once again.
They came in second on the list, behind only the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Bailey summed up his thoughts on the Cavaliers, noting that they have had a few rough nights lately but remain incredibly strong.
“The Cleveland Cavaliers have looked a bit closer to mortal of late. When the Cavs are healthy, they can go toe to toe with anyone in the league this season,” Bailey said.
The Cavs hold a 36-8 record and have gone 6-4 in their last 10 games.
On Friday night, they were taken down by the Philadelphia 76ers.
This was perhaps their most surprising loss of the season because the Sixers are the 11th team in the East and are 16-27.
A lot of people thought the Cavaliers would waltz to an easy win but that wasn’t the case.
They have now lost two games in a row.
That’s the second time this season they have fallen in back-to-back matches.
Back in November, the Atlanta Hawks defeated them twice in a row.
Following those two losses, the Cavaliers were able to shake off what was troubling them, win four in a row, and then start another massive winning streak.
Will history repeat itself?
Will the Cavaliers see these two losses as learning opportunities and get back in good shape as soon as possible?
If so, they could be at the top of the Power Rankings again soon.
