The Cleveland Cavaliers have won 47 games already.
They’re the first team to secure a playoff game, as they can finish no worse than No. 10.
That’s why Daryl Ruiter believes they’re no fluke.
Talking to Anthony Lima on 92.3 The Fan, the renowned sports analyst stated that the Cavs were ‘for real,’ adding that they’ve proven that they’re not like they were in the past.
I know I’m not making vacation plans for NBA Finals time. This team is for real. This is not a mirage. They are on a mission…”

Per Ruiter, this team has shown that they can compete for an NBA championship, and the notion of them being soft is simply not the case anymore.
It’s not usual to see a team go almost 40 games above .500, much less at this time in the season.
Moreover, it seems like they’ve learned from their past shortcomings.
They’re not allowing teams to get back on their feet once they go up, and no lead seems big enough for them not to be able to come back from.
Even without Darius Garland, the Cavs figured out how to match up with the Grizzlies’ toughness and grit.
Their ‘next man up’ mentality has been instrumental in their recent success, and you can tell that there’s no ego or personal agenda with this team.
The Cavaliers still need to prove themselves at the highest level.
This great season will all be for nothing if they can’t make a deep postseason run or make the NBA Finals.
This time, however, it feels like they can finally get it done.
