The Cleveland Cavaliers are obviously having a great season, for a number of reasons.
One of those reasons is Ty Jerome, who is having his best year yet.
Speaking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Brian Scalabrine talked about how “enjoyable” it is to watch Jerome and even compared him to NBA icon Steve Nash.
This came just hours after Jerome scored 26 points, three rebounds, five assists, and four steals against the Toronto Raptors.

So far this season, Jerome has averaged 12.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.
For comparison, he scored just 2.0 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game in 2023-24.
Jerome is having a breakout season after years of being a quiet bench player.
He got his start with the Phoenix Suns back in 2019-20 and then moved to the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors before making his way to the Cavaliers.
He has started in two games this season and some assumed he’d get more time in the starting lineup.
However, keeping Jerome as part of the second unit is a brilliant move and it gives the team a lot of depth.
Cleveland’s depth is one of the reasons they are doing so well this season and have a 17-1 record.
While most people think of Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, and Evan Mobley when they talk about the Cavaliers, there are several smaller stars who are greatly contributing.
Jerome is fun to watch, but he’s also doing a lot of great things.
He is rightfully being noticed more often in 2024-25.
