The Cleveland Cavaliers got off to a surprisingly hot start to the 2024-2025 NBA season, winning their first 15 games and making their presence felt as a legitimate contender.
This team wasn’t expected to be among the best teams in the Eastern Conference heading into the year, but that streak proved that they are here to stay, wanting to make a splash in the East.
Cleveland hasn’t slowed down since that initial streak, keeping their foot on the gas and having a healthy lead over the rest of the conference.
The Cavaliers did have another 16-game winning streak spanning from February 5th to March 14th, which was an impressive feat, but fans are starting to get concerned after watching the team lose their last three games.
The latest loss came against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night, falling 123-119.

Fans reacted to the loss on social media, hoping this trend doesn’t continue until the end of the season, and that the team doesn’t limp into the playoffs.
Again ? How . So the 70 wins dream is over. Even excellent teams will falter sometimes

Feel like this mini losing streak is gonna be good for the long run.

If this team makes it to the finals vs OKC and loses a game 7 on the road, we can look back at this stretch and say “well you had it but you let it slip away”

If you'd played with the reserve team, I'd understand this result, but that wasn't the case. With these two performances, I'm sure you won't be able to win anything important this year, just like last year. You're not the stuff of a champion.

Some fans are more optimistic than others, believing that these losses are just a bump in the road, while others are concerned that they’ve lost their mojo.
There’s still plenty of season left for the Cavaliers to get back on another winning streak, and they still hold a six-game lead on the Boston Celtics for the No. 1 spot in the East.
It will be interesting to see how the Cavaliers respond in their next few games, as losing three straight hasn’t been a part of their team DNA this season, so fans will get a chance to see how gritty this team really is.
