All Cleveland Cavaliers fans know that Sam Merrill can shoot the basketball, but he recently showed off another talent that had nothing to do with being on the hardwood.
A video shared by the team on X featured Merrill on a football field, kicking the ball up to 40 yards.
Merrill didn’t even break a sweat as his ball repeatedly sailed through the goalposts.
Could he have a second career as a football player?

He might be good on the field, but the Cavaliers are very adamant about him remaining with the team.
Merrill is now in his third season with the Cavs and has become one of their best and most reliable bench players.
This season, he is averaging 7.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists on 40.3 percent from the field and 36.9 percent from the three-point line.
Merrill is a prime example of a great bench star and has consistently come off the bench and provided huge help for the Cavaliers.
He is one of the multiple second-unit stars who has made success possible all season long for the Cavs and they are happy to keep him, even if he can also kick a football well.
Merrill is playing for a bit more than 19 minutes per game this season, which is the most of his time in Cleveland.
Season by season, he has earned more time and responsibility on the court and has continually proven himself.
He has a high level of confidence and obviously believes in himself, which is one of the reasons why he is getting more minutes in games.
This video of him kicking the football shows that Merrill knows he has skills, no matter the sport he is playing.
