The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially won their division.
Of course, this doesn’t mean much in this day and age, but doing it with so many games to play speaks volumes about their dominance.
If that wasn’t enough, they’ve also become just the sixth team in NBA history to record at least two 15+ game-winning streaks in a single season.
When asked about that, coach Kenny Atkinson raved about it being ‘very cool’ for an old-school guy like him to win the division (via Daryl Ruiter).

More than that, he believes that winning 15 games in a row at this point in the season despite the fatigue and getting all the team’s best effort night in and night out is remarkable.
Coach Atkinson acknowledged that the team is looking forward to better and bigger things, but they will still be able to look back on this moment.
The Cavaliers have become the first team to earn a playoff spot this season, and they’re well on pace to finish the season with the best record in the entire league.
Of course, that will mean little if they don’t replicate this success when it matters the most.
Some are still skeptical about this team.
They have yet to prove themselves at the highest level, and they’ve fallen short in the past multiple times.
Even so, given the way they’ve dominated some of the best teams in the league this season, they should really love their chances against anybody in a seven-game series right now.
