The Cleveland Cavaliers were able to pull off a 133-129 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, but it wasn’t easy.
The game went into overtime and players from both teams approached the charity stripe many times.
Speaking to Camryn Justice and the rest of the press on Sunday, Ty Jerome was honest about his opinions on the refereeing.
He said the refs did a bad job with their whistles and partciuarly called out the third quarter, which he said was “horrendous.”
Head coach Kenny Atkinson added to that sentiment, stating the game “wasn’t a geat spectacle for the fans” because of the refs.
As @EjElite1 pointed out, there were 70 combined free throws between the #Cavs and the Trail Blazers today and 53 personal fouls.

There were 70 free throws between both teams during the game and 53 personal fouls.
At times, it felt like an entire minute couldn’t go by without a whistle and someone approaching the free throw line.
This is part of playing in the NBA and there are definitely games when it seems that the referees are more involved.
The players, coaches, and fans weren’t too pleased with the state of Sunday’s game.
But the Cavaliers were able to overcome the fouls and score a win, which was their 10th in a row.
They remain the best team in the East and hold a 50-10 record.
They are now in the final full month of the regular season and will be next playing against the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, and Charlotte Hornets.
The Cavaliers have overcome all kinds of adversity this year and have stood victorious.
Whether it be injuries, off nights, or too many fouls, they have found a way to put together a stunning winning record.
