The Cleveland Cavaliers started the season with a perfect 15-0 record, a streak that many believed would be unsustainable throughout the season.
They have, of course, lost several games since that streak, but they’ve managed to stay atop the Eastern Conference by a healthy margin.
Cleveland has figured out a formula for winning in today’s NBA, combining a deep bench with elite three-point shooting, which helps keep them in games against even the strongest opponents.
Their winning ways continued on Wednesday night, beating the Toronto Raptors 131-108.
As the team’s official X account pointed out, this was the Cavaliers’ last game before the All-Star Break, so it was great to end their first half of the season with a win.
Heading into the break with a W!

From fans calling them “must-see TV” to others calling out how close they are to hitting their expected win total at the halfway point in the season, the Cavaliers are firing on all cylinders.
They’ll now get a break until February 20th, when they’ll take on the Brooklyn Nets to start the second half of the season.
With this win over the Raptors, the Cavaliers are 5.5 games ahead of the Boston Celtics in the East and eight games ahead of the New York Knicks.
This is a favorable position for them to be in, and if they keep their foot on the gas in the second half of the season, it’s realistic to believe that this team has what it takes to be the No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs.
