The Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t seem to need much help before the trade deadline.
Then again, even good things can get better.
As good as they had been to start the season, they weren’t a perfect roster.
That’s why they targeted De’Andre Hunter.
When asked what he would bring to the table, the former Atlanta Hawks forward claimed to be excited about the opportunity to play for the best team in the league (via Camryn Justice).
Asked De'Andre Hunter what he's most looking forward to showing with the #Cavs. He said his overall skillset.
"They're already doing good without me. I'm just trying to improve what they've already got going on."
And he wants fans to know: "I'm gonna play hard every night." pic.twitter.com/VsvchucQQh

More than that, he vowed to play hard every single night.
That has never been an issue with a hard-working player like Hunter.
He was well-coached in college and has a high basketball IQ.
Injuries have set him back multiple times in the past, and the Hawks’ surplus of long and athletic wings made him somewhat expendable, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a very impactful player.
Hunter is a volume three-point shooter with a quick trigger and a high release point, allowing him to shoot over nearly every defender in the league.
He’s also laterally quick enough to stay in front of smaller and quicker players, and he has the size and strength to hold his own against most power forwards and even some big men.
Hunter plays his role well and doesn’t require many touches to get started on offense.
He might not be a superstar, but he’s just the kind of player this team desperately craved.
