There are many crucial players on the Cleveland Cavaliers’ roster, but who is most important?
That is a very difficult question to answer but speaking on ESPN Cleveland, Jake Trotter had an opinion.
He said that Evan Mobley will soon be the most important star for the Cavaliers because of what he can do on both ends of the court.
“Not only can he make things happen offensively, he is the anchor of an elite defense,” Trotter said.
Trotter added that Mobely “covers up” for Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland, helps clean up on defense and opens opportunities on offense.

Mobley is averaging 18.2 points and 9.1 rebounds this season, shooting 57.1 percent from the field.
Now in his fourth season with the Cavaliers, Mobley looks more engaged, more athletic, more physical, and more vital to the team’s success.
In just about every way, Mobley has stepped up his game and it’s a major reason why the Cavaliers are thriving this season.
This is a great development for Cleveland fans, who had been frustrated by Mobley in the past.
There were times when he seemed less aggressive than needed and they were wondering if he’d develop and grow as a player.
To them, Mobley is finally reaching his full potential in 2024-25.
The fact that Trotter thinks Mobley will be the team’s most important player is a big deal because the Cavaliers have several breakout stars in the lineup.
Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and others are all having stunning seasons.
But it’s Mobley who brings them all together and pushes the team forward on both ends of the court, according to Trotter.
He is key to the sensational season the Cavs are having.
