The Cleveland Cavaliers are playing a different brand of basketball right now.
They’re sharing the ball, and while they’re taking a lot of three-pointers, they’re not doing so like most teams.
Moreover, they’re not flopping or trying to foul-bait the referees.
They’re just getting everybody involved on offense and locking up on defense.
Obviously, that sounds way simpler than it is, but sometimes, the game is simple.
That’s why Jarrett Allen summed up their undefeated road trip with a simple yet accurate phrase.
When asked about his team after the win over the Dallas Mavericks, the star big man claimed that they were just playing “ethical basketball” (via Serena Winters).

That’s pretty much the case.
The Cavaliers were on the road for a four-game road trip against Western Conference teams and beat them all.
They have yet to lose a game to a Western Conference foe, and they’ve only lost four games this season.
They’ve become the first team to win 30 games this season.
They’re currently on pace to win a whopping 72 games, which would tie the 1996 Chicago Bulls for the second-highest mark in NBA history.
In a time when all teams seem to be playing the same brand of basketball, the Cavaliers are changing the game – again – because of their efficiency on offense and defensive prowess.
It’s not just about shooting three-pointers and pulling up from distance on every possession.
Maybe the rest of the league will learn something after watching their tape.
