The Cleveland Cavaliers couldn’t keep their foot on the gas against a team they should’ve won against.
Despite being up by almost twenty points, they still lost to the Atlanta Hawks by double digits at home.
Some people credited the loss to Trae Young’s uncalled travel at a crucial moment in the game, but the Cavaliers had the whole game to win.
Whatever the case, Evan Mobley was a bright spot in the loss.
As Evan Mobley Muse pointed out on X, the USC product finished the game with 22 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, five steals, and three blocks.

He also added one three-pointer on three attempts.
Most of his numbers are up this season, but perhaps the best part about this improvement has been his newly-found aggressiveness.
He’s been more aggressive in getting to his spots, and his efficiency is up as a result.
Kenny Atkinson has done an outstanding job building up his confidence, and he will be this team’s catalyst, for better or worse.
For years, analysts and fans talked about how Mobley would be the X-Factor for the Cavaliers, which is why his apparent lack of development was such a major concern.
Despite the loss, the Cavaliers still have the best record in the NBA.
Now, they’ll have to watch the tape and make adjustments ahead of a rematch with the Hawks, this time for the NBA Emirates Cup, and Mobley might be in for another big game.
