The Cleveland Cavaliers opened the season with a historic 15-0 record.
LeBron James didn’t even achieve this feat when he was with the team, a sign of how dominant this group has been.
They have gotten strong contributions from several players, including their two stars, Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland.
Both players have been outstanding in their own right, even though there were some questions about where they stood heading into the season.
They have made it evident that they are all-in on this team, which has resulted in dominance thus far.
Donovan Mitchell was asked about this in a recent interview on FanDuel Sports Network Cleveland, particularly if he was surprised by the way this team has performed.
“I knew we could get to this level of play. Sometimes, when you have a younger group, it takes time. But for us, it takes time, and now, you’ve kind of screwed yourself, because this is where you gotta be at,” Mitchell said.

After watching his teammates come together in the offseason and the preseason, Mitchell knew that this team was capable of anything they set their minds to.
A 17-1 record through 18 games might not have been on his radar, but with the belief they had in themselves, anything was possible for this organization.
Mitchell mentioned the young players on this team, but it has seemingly been his veteran leadership that has helped this team get to the next level.
