The Cleveland Cavaliers were at it again on Monday night, beating the Chicago Bulls 119-113.
Leading the charge for Cleveland was Donovan Mitchell, who posted 36 points, 8 rebounds, four steals, and seven three-pointers.
According to Cavs Notes, Mitchell set season highs on Monday and it was just the second time in Cavaliers history that a player has reached those numbers in a single game.
The last time it was done was back in 2008 when LeBron James scored 50 points, 8 rebounds, four steals, and seven three-pointers against the New York Knicks.
In last night’s win, @spidadmitchell set season highs in PTS (36), REB (8), STL (4, tied) and 3FG (7).
It was just the 2nd time in @cavs history a player has reached those numbers in a single game (LeBron James, 3/5/08 at NYK – 50 PTS, 8 REB, 4 STL, 7 3FG). https://t.co/umunvkk1cq

What a season it’s been for Mitchell, who is averaging 23.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game on 46.8 percent from the field.
The star player has been in double digits night after night and has been a central force for the Cavaliers.
But he’s not the only one making Cleveland’s success possible.
For example, on Monday night, Darius Garland posted 17 points, Evan Mobley produced 15, while Caris LeVert, Ty Jerome, and Georges Niang all scored 12.
Everything has been going right for the Cavaliers so far and they are sitting atop the NBA standings with their 12-0 record.
Next up for the team are the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, the Chicago Bulls on Friday, and the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.
Right now, it feels like no one can get in their way and there is every reason to believe they could keep winning in the days ahead.
Mitchell has been sensational in 2024-25 but he isn’t alone and multiple Cavaliers players have been playing incredible basketball.
Together, they are breaking records and making the NBA world very excited.
