In 2025-26, the Cleveland Cavaliers will look very similar to the team they were last season, but there are a few changes on the horizon.
One of them is incoming rookie Tyrese Proctor, who is receiving rave reviews from his new teammates.
Speaking about Proctor, Max Strus said the team is welcoming him, and everyone is excited to see what he can do.
“[Tyrese Proctor’s] very mature for his age, from what I’ve noticed so far. I’ve only been with him for like a week and a half, but he played well in Summer League. You could tell that he comes from a good program, a good organization at Duke. He’s been brought up the right way, so we’re lucky to have him. I think he’s going to fit in just fine with our group. It’s gonna be a new team and new guys are gonna come in, so it’s up to us to welcome them, and they’ve been great so far. We couldn’t be more excited to have those guys,” Strus said, via Spencer Davies.

Proctor was chosen as the No. 49 pick in the recent draft after spending his college days at Duke.
The Australian native has great size at 6-foot-5, but is also strong with his shooting abilities.
Proctor is coming from a Duke program that produced a few promising stars, including Cooper Flagg of the Dallas Mavericks.
He might not get as much attention as his former teammates, but he has a lot he can bring to his team and may be a breakout star in the new year.
Of course, it’ll be difficult for him to earn many minutes during his rookie season because he will be playing for one of the best teams in the league.
A lot is on the line for the Cavaliers, and they won’t have much time for trial and error and tweaks to what works.
Still, Proctor might get some good opportunities, especially during blowout games.
During the Summer League, Proctor was a highlight, especially with his 35-point game against the Sacramento Kings.
He is primed and ready to get started in the regular season and will fight for every minute.
