No one knows if the Cleveland Cavaliers will make major trades this summer, but they will certainly have options.
They hold a few impressive players who could get them a big return on the trade market.
Jarrett Allen is one of them, and that is why there is so much speculation around him and his future.
On “The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show,” Mike Lucas talked about a potential trade with the Houston Rockets.
In this trade, the Cavaliers would receive Tari Eason and Jabari Smith Jr., while the Rockets would get Jarrett Allen.
“If you could turn Jarrett Allen into Tari Eason and Jabari Smith Jr. from the Rocketsāthe Rockets found some success in the playoffs, playing Steven Adams next to Alperen Sengun. Adams [is] a free agent. Maybe they want to go back to the two-center lineup. If they wanted a second center, this would be their way of acquiring a second center. [Eason is a] 6’8″ long, athletic wing who plays terrific defense and has a gigantic FU chip on his shoulder. Jabari Smith Jr. was the 3rd overall pick, stretch four, could play a little small-ball five, has not lived up to his full potential yet, but he definitely has potential,” LucasĀ said.
Another day, another potential trade the Cavaliers might pursue.
Lately, there has been a lot of talk about Allen leaving the Cavaliers.
He has become an important part of the team and has done quite well for the Cavaliers, but that is part of why he could be traded.
The Cavaliers will only get good deals if they move some of their biggest stars.
That could be tough for the fans, but it might be the only way for them to build a stronger roster.
Allen could bring a lot of great things to multiple teams throughout the league, including the Rockets.
Therefore, it’s not surprising to hear him proposed in this potential trade.
