The Cleveland Cavaliers had the best offense in the league this season.
They also had a top-10 defense for most of the time.
Notably, a lot of that had to do with Jarrett Allen.
He demonstrated that he could be a solid fit next to Evan Mobley, anchoring the paint and creating a deadly tandem to anchor the restricted area.
Then, when the team needed him the most, Allen was nowhere to be found.
Notably, that’s why team analyst Nick Pedone has had it with him.
Talking on his “The BIG Factor” podcast, Pedone urged the team to move on from him.

Truth be told, it’s hard to put all the blame on Allen.
It was a collective meltdown, from the coaching staff all the way to the last player on the bench.
Nevertheless, it’s also easy to understand why Pedone or anybody else would feel this way.
This is the third postseason in a row that Allen has either been a no-show or a liability.
We’ve seen what he’s capable of in the regular season, so this isn’t a matter of skill or ability; it might be about character.
This has happened to countless good players throughout history; some have it, and some don’t.
