Kenny Atkinson’s first season as head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers has been a big one.
Atkinson has taken the existing players who were already on the team and helped them reach a new level, and now they are playing better than they have in years.
Atkinson is happy to lead the team, and he’s proud to bring joy to the city of Cleveland.
He recently spoke with the press about Cleveland and had nothing but great things to say.
“I tell people all the time… it’s an underrated city. In every sense— the sporting sense, quality of life, the schools are great,” Atkinson said, per Gabriella Kreuz.

Because of his NBA career, Atkinson has spent plenty of time in multiple cities throughout the US, but he clearly has an affinity for Cleveland.
And they obviously love him.
The Cavaliers ended the regular season with a 64-18 record and a hold on the top seed in the East.
This came after years of them falling short of their goals in the playoffs.
Atkinson has figured out what makes them work best and has transformed the team and its chances.
He is already being viewed as a hero by the team’s fanbase, but will he be Coach of the Year too?
There is every reason to believe he has a great shot at earning that honor, even though the competition for it is tough.
But no matter what happens, Atkinson’s job in Cleveland is secure.
He wants to bring another championship to the team, and he wants to make the fans happy.
Atkinson knows the Cavaliers have the talent and ability to go all the way, and he will help them get there.
