The Cleveland Cavaliers have been among the best teams in the NBA this season.
They’ve had two winning streaks of 15+ games, showing how strong and dominant a team they can be when they’re playing their best.
Their success led many to believe that they can make a deep playoff run, with the hope being that they can run through the East, at least making it to the NBA Finals.
While they’re likely to have the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, their latest woes are a bit concerning, especially to head coach Kenny Atkinson.
Atkinson didn’t like what he saw from the Cavaliers on Sunday night, losing to the Sacramento Kings.
“I didn’t think our energy level was where we thought it would be,” Atkinson said via reporter Evan Dammarell on X.

The Cavaliers weren’t missing any of their key contributors in this game, but they just couldn’t figure out a way to get past the Kings, who had their number from the jump.
It will be interesting to see if the Cavaliers will recover from their recent skid, or if they’ll limp into the playoffs on something of a losing streak.
With two more games against the Indiana Pacers and one game against the New York Knicks still on the regular-season schedule, the Cavaliers certainly have their work cut out for them over the next few games.
Hopefully, they can turn things around and get back their winning brand of basketball, giving them confidence heading into the postseason.
