The Cleveland Cavaliers suffered their 15th loss of the season on Friday night, losing 133-122 to the Detroit Pistons.
They may not have won, but multiple players for Cleveland did very good work.
Donovan Mitchell was once again miraculous for the Cavs.
As pointed out by Cavs Notes, Mitchell had 22 points in the fourth quarter on 6-of-7 from the field and 3-of-4 from the three-point line.
On top of that, he was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line in the fourth.
That was his most points in any quarter this season, but, sadly, it just wasn’t enough for the Cavs.
.@spidadmitchell has 22 PTS here in the 4th quarter on 6-7 (.857) shooting from the field, 3-4 (.750) shooting from beyond the arc and a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line. It is his most points in ANY quarter this season. #LetEmKnow

Mitchell’s stat line was terrific for the game.
He ended up with 38 points, five rebounds, and three assists, leading both teams in points.
It was yet another great night for Mitchell, who has had plenty of them this year.
The Pistons are the real deal this season, so the Cavaliers had their work cut out for them in the game.
It was disappointing for the Cavs to suffer yet another defeat, especially this close to the playoffs, but they will try to pick themselves up and move forward.
They only have eight games left and want to hang onto their top seed in the East.
The Boston Celtics are behind them by 4.5 games, but that margin isn’t comfortable enough for the Cavaliers.
They want to end the season on a high note, once again looking like the dominant team they have been for much of the year.
If Mitchell continues to play like this, that might be possible.
