The Cleveland Cavaliers took down the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday evening, and Evan Mobley had yet another strong showing.
The Cavs big man put up 21 points and 12 rebounds, along with four assists and four blocks.
The team celebrated Mobley on X, sharing the news that Mobley had tied his season-high four blocked shots.
Donovan Mitchell, always a supportive teammate, showed his support too by adding, “DPOY.”
Mobley is definitely in the mix for Defensive Player of the Year this season, but will he win the coveted prize?

Right now, players like Draymond Green, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Dyson Daniels are all talked about as potential DPOY winners.
All of them have had stellar seasons when it comes to shutting down opponents, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see any of them win.
When Victor Wembanyama was forced out for the rest of the year, it opened up possibilities for numerous players.
Will Mobley make the cut and earn his first DPOY?
He was a member of the All-Defensive Team in 2022-23, and has also been an All-Star, but Mobley hasn’t been crowned Defensive Player of the Year, at least not yet.
He is averaging 18.7 points and 9.4 rebounds per game on top of 1.6 blocks.
Mobley has been a key part of the Cavaliers’ success this year, and he has created one of the most feared frontcourts in the league alongside Jarrett Allen.
Mitchell wants to see his teammate and friend receive such a high honor, but competition for DPOY is very tough right now.
He might not be Defensive Player of the Year, but in a few months, Mobley could be a champion.
