There are many reasons why the Cleveland Cavaliers are the top team in the Eastern Conference with a 56-13 record.
However, the importance of Jarrett Allen cannot be overstated.
As pointed out by CavsMuse on X, Allen has been “quietly putting together a great season.”
He is averaging 13.6 points per game, along with 10.1 rebounds per game, which is 10th in the league.
He is also first in the league when it comes to field goal percentage because he is posting 70.2 percent.
On top of all that, he has 37 double-doubles this season, yet another impressive accomplishment for Cleveland’s big man.

This is Allen’s fifth year with the Cavaliers and obviously his most important yet.
When he first joined the team, some people weren’t sure how he would fit in alongside the rest of the squad.
And when he was paired with Evan Mobley on the frontcourt, there were questions about redundancy and how well the two players would work together.
They have worked out any problems and rough spots and are now one of the most feared duos in the entire league.
Allen is a physically large presence in the paint, coming in at 6-foot-11 and 243 pounds.
But he’s important for reasons beyond that.
He is also one of the smartest and most strategic big men in the league and his years of experience have raised his basketball IQ to a very high level.
That is on full display during each game.
The Cavaliers are now poised to have a strong run in the playoffs and they will need Allen’s incredible season to continue.
Right now he is leading the league in an important way, but could he be a champion soon?
