The Cleveland Cavaliers pushed past the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night, beating them 133-124.
While every victory is important at this point in the season, this one was even more impressive because it secured the Cavaliers their 16th straight win, a franchise record.
SportsCenter and many other outlets celebrated the major milestone on X, noting that the Cavs have scored at least 105 points in all of these 16 wins.
Right after the final buzzer sounded, fans hopped online to praise, and pick apart, the team.

A lot of fans were saying that it’s very hard to doubt the Cavaliers now.
Since the start of the season, people have been in awe of their record but have still doubted if they can go all the way in the playoffs.
Some are predicting a strong regular season run and then a complete collapse in the postseason.
But with this new winning streak, many more NBA fans think they are the real deal.
Bro, these guys are not messing around. Hard to doubt them at this point.

Indeed, many people are predicting the Cavaliers will earn a chip this year and will walk away from 2024-25 as champions.
They are winning it all this year.

Do they have what it takes to get out of the East and defeat the current reigning champions, the Boston Celtics?
They have a 2-2 record with the Celtics for the season, so they have shown they can keep up and conquer them.
However, the postseason is very different than the regular season so the Celtics could be even tougher in the playoffs.
The Cavaliers might be better than the Celtics 👀

Some people poked holes in this winning streak, saying that the Cavaliers have only defeated one “good” team during their run.
But they have in fact taken down squads like the Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, and more.
lol. They beat one good team in this 16 game streak.

Regardless of what people are saying, one thing is certain: the Cavaliers now hold a franchise record for most consecutive wins and they have their eyes firmly set on winning a championship soon.
