The Cleveland Cavaliers keep rolling.
Kenny Atkinson’s team has the longest winning streak in the NBA right now, and it’s also the longest streak in franchise history.
As pointed out by NBA TV on X, the victory over the Memphis Grizzlies gave them a franchise-record 16th consecutive win.

We’re talking about a team that has already clinched a berth in the 2025 NBA Playoffs and won its division, so the fact that the Cavs continue to have their foot on the gas speaks volumes about their mindset.
Granted, it hasn’t always been easy or pretty, and they’ve gotten themselves into some tough situations with slow starts.
Nevertheless, they’ve rallied together, and even when one of their best players isn’t available due to injury or rest, they still figure out a way to get the job done.
The Cavs know they can’t rest on their laurels.
They’re getting everybody’s best effort night in and night out, and they haven’t yet clinched the best record in the league.
Even so, it’s nice to see their approach to games against contending teams. You can tell they’re taking them as playoff games.
This team is much tougher than it was in the past.
They’re confident, and they’re not easily rattled.
It’s hard to believe they’re going to win every remaining game, and chances are the winning streak will end sooner rather than later.
But this is arguably the greatest Cavaliers regular season of all time, and this 2024-25 team might wind up as the best in franchise history.
